And honestly… I’m glad it didn’t.

Because it made something very clear to me—something I see photographers do all the time.

We try to move forward before we actually understand what we’re building.

The Mistake Most Photographers Don’t Realize They’re Making

A lot of photographers think the problem is:

📸 they need better marketing
📸 they need to post more
📸 they need help growing

So they start doing more.

Or they hire someone.

Or they invest in something hoping it will fix the problem.

But here’s the truth:

If you don’t understand your business first—what you offer, who it’s for, and how it actually works—none of that will fix it.

Why This Keeps Happening

This isn’t because you’re doing something wrong.

It’s because no one really shows photographers how to think about their business in the first place.

📸 marketing strategies

But without clarity, those things don’t connect.

And when they don’t work… it’s frustrating.

It feels like:
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to be doing… so why isn’t this working?”
