Today, we're diving into a topic that I get asked about all the time: Where should you hang out on social media to showcase and sell your photography? Let's explore this together, and I'll share some heartfelt insights to help you on your journey..

This isn’t just another photography podcast. It’s raw, real, and focused on the business side of landscape and nature photography. The goal is to give you practical advice, inspire you to take action, and share the stories and insights of those who have walked this path before us. Every episode is built around the idea of helping you create a thriving photography business that supports your life and your passions.

As I continue building my own photography business, I wanted to create something that would help you along the way too. I’m not just speaking from theory, I’m sharing what I’ve learned through trial and error – the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s a space where we can all grow together, learn from each other, and, most importantly, support each other in building the businesses we’ve always dreamed of.

  • Finding Your People: Where Are Your People? Imagine your ideal client. Where do they spend their time online? Not just fellow photographers, but those who genuinely want to buy your work. Picture them scrolling through their feeds—where are they most likely to be?
  • Choosing Your Platform: What Feels Right for You? Ask yourself, which platform do you naturally gravitate towards? Instagram might be a visual paradise, but maybe Facebook or Pinterest feels more like home to you.
  • My Podcasting Journey: Let me open up about my newest adventure—podcasting: Embracing New Mediums... I was hesitant at first, but starting a podcast has been an exhilarating step. It allows me to connect with you, sharing stories and insights in a more personal way.
  • Bringing Your Unique Flavor: Here's something I really want you to feel in your heart. Be Bold and Be You: Don't be afraid to infuse your personality into your online presence. Stand out by being unapologetically you. Think of it as creating your own little corner of the internet that truly reflects who you are.
  • Knowing Your Perfect Client: Let's get a little personal here! Dream Up Your Ideal Client. Close your eyes and envision your perfect client. What do they love? What do they need? Understanding them will help you tailor your content to truly resonate with them.
  • Inviting Engagement: As we wrap up, let's talk about engaging your audience. Guide Them with Calls to Action: Think of ways to invite your audience to interact—whether it's through offering a helpful resource or inviting them to join a community.
